Michael G. Schmitt, MPT
Michael Schmitt is a 1993 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a strong background in orthopedic and acute care physical therapy. After graduation, he gained extensive experience as Director of the Physical Therapy Department at Fulton County Medical Center before founding Frederick Physical Therapy Inc. in 2001. Dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field, he pursues two to five courses annually. His advanced training includes osteopathic manual techniques from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as specialized coursework through The Barral Institute, The Chikly Institute, The Upledger Institute, The Jones Institute, the Institute of Physical Art, and Barnes Myofascial Release. With a commitment to evidence-based care and hands-on therapy, Michael continues to provide expert treatment, helping patients restore function and achieve optimal movement.
Andra Pinetti, PTA
Andra is a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with a strong background in neuromuscular therapy and specialized rehabilitation. She graduated with honors from Carroll Community College in 2014, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree through the PTA program. Since 2015, she has been a valued member of Frederick Physical Therapy, helping patients regain function, manage pain, and improve mobility. Committed to continuous learning, Andra expands her expertise through advanced training in neural and visceral manipulation, attending seminars with the Neuromuscular Therapy Center and The Barral Institute. She also specializes in treating vertigo and works with patients referred from Johns Hopkins who have been diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Her holistic approach integrates manual therapy, movement-based rehabilitation, and individualized treatment plans to support long-term wellness. With a passion for patient care and evidence-based therapy, Andra strives to help individuals restore balance, improve function, and enhance their quality of life.
Val Turner, PTA, LMT
With over a decade of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and more than 20 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Valerie specializes in helping individuals regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. She combines hands-on therapy, movement-based rehabilitation, and functional fitness to support strength, balance, and independence. As a Certified Personal Trainer, she focuses on fall prevention, walking programs, and strength training to help clients move with confidence. Valerie earned her Associate of Science degree through the Physical Therapist Assistant from Penn State University and completed her massage therapy training at the Baltimore School of Massage. A U.S. Navy veteran, she served as a Hospital Corpsman (HN) from 1992 to 1996, instilling in her a deep commitment to patient care. Through therapeutic massage, targeted exercises, and personalized wellness plans, she is passionate about helping clients stay active and feel their best.
Rebecca Gorringe, PTA
Rebecca is a skilled and dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with a strong background in orthopedic, neurological, and pelvic health rehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University and later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree through the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Montgomery Community College in 2021. She holds continuing education certifications, including LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s disease treatment and Pelvic Floor Level 1 from Herman & Wallace. Rebecca specializes in pelvic floor therapy and Parkinson’s rehabilitation, providing expert care for patients with orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and movement impairments. She has extensive experience managing high-volume caseloads in outpatient settings, delivering individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and functional training. Her commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence ensures that each individual receives the support they need to achieve their optimal recovery and quality of life.
